We decided to go on a spontaneous adventure and ended up at the Washington Park Rose Garden just before sunset. The lighting was gorgeous and the roses were still in bloom!
OK, so here’s the deal on this pie. I was browsing Pinterest, as usual, when I spotted this recipe for a Balsamic Blackberry Crisp. I kept browsing and found this recipe for Lavender Blackberry Crumbles. I loved this lavender idea and thought the combination of balsamic vinegar and lavender would be quite the taste sensation! So I used the berry filling from the first recipe and just infused the sugar with lavender. SO delicious!
